LOCK&LOCK Launches Global Environmental Campaigns in Korea and Vietnam for Earth Day

  • Participates in the Earth Day Vietnam 2026 campaign in Vietnam
  • Leads environmental cleanup activities through Love for Jeju in Korea

Global household products company LOCK&LOCK Co., Ltd. (CEO Sang-Young Kim) carried out global environmental campaigns in Vietnam and Korea in celebration of Earth Day on April 22.

In Vietnam, LOCK&LOCK collaborated with environmental organization Green Vietnam to participate in the Earth Day Vietnam 2026 campaign. The initiative, which took place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City beginning on April 19, was organized to collect urban waste and raise public awareness of environmental protection.

Employees of LOCK&LOCK Vietnam actively participated in the campaign, taking part in activities ranging from waste separation education to collection and transportation. The company also promoted eco-friendly lifestyles by encouraging the use of reusable products such as water bottles and food containers, delivering a message advocating the reduction of single-use plastics and disposable products.

In Korea, LOCK&LOCK carried out an environmental cleanup campaign on Jeju Island. Employees visited Jeju and engaged in “ploding,” a combination of plogging and cycling, along the island’s coastline while collecting marine debris. Now in its second year, the Love for Jeju campaign has gained recognition as a meaningful environmental program that brings businesses and local communities together to support sustainability.

In addition, LOCK&LOCK continues to pursue a wide range of ESG initiatives with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Key programs include the Love for Planet resource circulation campaign, the Love for Mongolia desertification prevention project, regional environmental campaigns such as Love for Jeju and Love for Mukho, and Green Mate, an eco-friendly supporter program for university students.

The company is also actively responding to the global climate crisis by establishing greenhouse gas inventories, implementing emission reduction measures, and developing products made from eco-friendly materials. In recognition of these efforts, LOCK&LOCK received the highest rating of “A” from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) in 2025.

Sung-Il Ahn, Executive Vice President and CHRO of LOCK&LOCK, stated, “It is especially meaningful for us to conduct environmental campaigns simultaneously in Korea and Vietnam in celebration of Earth Day. We hope that our small efforts can contribute to building a more sustainable future. Going forward, under our commitment to being a company that cares for both the environment and people, we will continue to practice ESG management and take the lead in creating a resource-circulating ecosystem.”
